Philodendron - Prince of Orange

The Philodendron 'Prince of Orange' is an uncommon upright hybrid that was created from the Philodendron Erubescens 'Imperial Red'. Its new foliage is a striking orange shade that eventually transitions to green as it grows. This distinctive characteristic can result in a variety of leaf colors on a single plant, such as yellow-bronze, salmon, and deep orange, before reaching the typical dark green hue. As the plant produces new leaves, more orange tones will appear.

Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for your Philodendron Prince of Orange. They enjoy a good deal of ambient sun, but do not favor direct light. Consistent bright sun may result in greater variegation, while low light may cause the plant's variegation to revert.

Water: These plants prefer for their soil to stay slightly moist, but never soggy. Plant in a well-draining potting mix and allow the soil to dry at least halfway down in the pot between waterings to avoid over-saturation.

Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for Philodendron growth. We suggest adding a humidifier to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.
