Noted for its ornate foliage, Begonia Tiger Paws’ (Eyelash Begonia) is grown for its striking foliage of small, chocolate to bronze-red leaves, adorned with bright green, paw-like markings. The leaves have white eyelash-like hairs on their edges, hence the common name. Their undersides and juicy stems are wine-red. As an added bonus, small sprays of flowers are held above the foliage in summer. This plant is a great plant to add to your collection, thanks to its rich colors and relatively rapid growth.

Light: Provide your Begonia with bright, indirect light for optimal growth. Avoid placing in direct sunlight to prevent leaf discoloration and sunburn. Paling of the leaves can be an indication of too much direct sun, while yellowing and leaf shedding is a good indication that your Begonia is in need of more bright, filtered sun.

Water: Begonias prefer to remain consistently moist, but never wet or soggy. Water when soil is dry at least halfway down in the pot. When thirsty, the plant will pale in color and go limp at the stems, but rest assured - a good drink will quickly pop her back upright.

Humidity: Moderate Humidity is best. We recommend adding a humidifier to your plant care routine to help provide humidity if your space is dry. While Begonias require some humidity to thrive, make sure to avoid keeping their leaves constantly wet.
